You WON!

On Friday, me and Jazmin went back to the F.U.S.D Native American Studies Program. We went back because both of us really enjoyed being there helping out the kids with their work. When we arrived Christina the instructor greeted us in like the last time we were there. While the kids were coming in she was asking them if they needed help on their homework but many of them said that they didn’t have any that day. So, the kids that didn’t have homework me and Jazmin divided them into to groups and I took one group and Jazmin took the other. My group wanted to play math bingo so one of the kids went to go grab it.

Math bingo was really fun because a little girl would just scream bingo because she didn’t know how to play. And because of that I had to help her out. When I told her to yell out bingo because she won, she didn’t want to because she thought I was just kidding. I had to tell her about 5 times before she would say it. But when she did say it she was really excited because she actually won. Right after we were done playing we all got back together and got into a tribe circle like last time.

This time in the tribe circle the question was, if you had a million dollars what would you do with it? Many of the kids said that they would buy video games because they really enjoyed playing them. And when it was my turn they passed the eagle feather to me and i said, "I would buy a mansion for my entire family can live together even though all the drama would be in one house." All of the kids started laughing because i didnt say i would buy video games.

We decided that we would go back again for our project because its really fun and the kids enjoy us being there with them.

I find it really fascinated how kids are so involved in video games now a days. That's very sweet how you'de want to buy a home so all your relatives will be together. I believe it's because when you're still young children haven't developed the concept of thinking other than themselves. This kids sound like a lot of fun and energy to be around! I'm glad you got to enjoy that experience.

Yeah its really funny because everytime im helping out a group of kids they always talk about how they cant wait to go and play video games. And im able to butt in there conversations because i also play the video games they play.

It's great how you are helping those kids, Edgar. I find it funny to read how involved kids are with video games these days too! You both seem to really have fun with these kids are are making an impact in their lives! Great job!

It's great that you would go spend time with kids. Even if it was something like playing games with them. Children are prone to influence, so when you teach them right they grow up to be mature responsible adults. I'm very impressed that you would be a role model to say you would buy a mansion for your family rather than buy video games like the rest of the kids...Even if they laughed.
