Gettin' that money though.

Some of our donation money.

I am getting closer and closer to my goal of seven hundred dollars for my walk on June ninth. It has been an incredible journey so far and definitely a difficult task. Me and Kellie have been working tremendously hard on reaching our goal. So far we have been going to local businesses for small donations. Lots of businesses have been denying us because they tell us we need to talk to corporate. We have been making numerous calls to the corporate companies and they all just tell us “Oh we’re sorry we’ve already made our donations for this year”. So yes, this has definitely been a difficult task for us. We have been making an extreme profit from going from house to house asking for donations. I am thankful that people are generous and are appreciative enough to donate to this great cause.

Our Flyer's for Chili's Night
I did manage to set up an Event for Chili’s on May twenty first. The manager of Chili’s made us flyers so go give around to local people. When we give them the flyers, they have to show up at Chili’s on that night and when they pay for their dinner we get %15 of the money that was earned that night. I am extremely excited for this event and I think it will help us reach our total goal of $1400. Kellie and I will be printing about one thousand flyers and we will be handing them out to local people here in Fremont.

We are a little more than half way to our goal of $1400. I think Kellie and I are making extreme progress and we are trying super hard to reach our goal. Walking for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is definitely something that I am proud to do and I will do whatever it takes to fundraise as much as I can for this organization.

I believe it's difficult to get donations due to numerous scams. A lot of companies don't know whether what you're doing is to earn money for yourself, or for an actual good cause. It must take a lot of your money and time to try to get help, and it's especially difficult when tons of people turn you down. I'm happy that you guys have a lot of patience and perserverance with working toward this cause. I'm sure you guys will be able to achieve your goal!
