Learning from Them Og's

On our 2nd daay of help. We volunter on carlton plaza. A place were good people get taken care of. We got in touch with this place about 2 weeks ago, it was going to be our first place we volunteer on, but they told us we need it to wait until there was time for us to volunteer. Less than a week ago Stephanie the manager of the place call us that if we still wanted to help and we said yes because our goal is to help people that need our help. So Sam,luis and I went there and met with stephanie who told us all about the place. Our first day was about getting to know the place and meet nice people. We help by serving senior citizens their food on dinner and things that they need it. so came down to eat from their rooms and some stayed. but the ones that stayed we delivered their food. while eating some were curious on who we were than the manager introduced us. Some talked to us and told us about their lifes. I met jimmy, a nice senior that reminded me of my grandpa that passed away. He told me a story when he was on the army and how hes life was. it tough me something, that no matter what happens life still goes on and just got to live happy day by day. after dinner they all felt happy of how we treat it them. we help some by taking them to their rooms and walk around with them. These day of volunteering way good. we learned alot from these people. That they feel at home there, sharing time with others without their family, that we as helpers remind them that there is people that care for them. our help was apriciated by these people. There happyness on their face was something that i would never forget.They were glad bc they met new people. And that we help them and they felt that we were nice people that took care of them. And that we need it to come back on sunday for game day. A fun day for them bc they do things that are fun.
