Bonding with the kids in the Native American Studies Program.

On Friday me and Edgar decided to go back to the F.U.S.D Native American Studies program. We decided this because we thought that this program was really interesting and we could learn a lot from it as well. walking again to the classroom Christina as always greeted us with a smile. We noticed that many kids were sitting down doing nothing so we asked Christina if anyone needed help she said that since kids were doing star testing they didn't have homework. Me and Edgar thought it would be a good idea if we played board games with them so they wouldn't be so bored. We divided the kids evenly and got into two groups. Edgar's group played math bingo while my group played UNO. It was so much fun because these kids were so competitive they all wanted to win, which made it even funner. Everyone won at least once so that was good because no one was upset about not winning. After we were done playing we all gathered in a circle. Christina had the Eagle Feather which meant she was going to speak she gave us a question that we had to answer when we got the feather. The question was if we had a million dollars what would we do with it. As the feather went around i found pretty funny how every boy besides Edgar said they would spent their million dollars on video games and most girls said they would buy a lot of clothes. When the feather got to me I said I would buy my mom a two story house and her Lexus (its her favorite car).

Today after school me and Edgar returned to the Native American Studies Program we walked in and saw that once again many kids were just sitting down not doing anything. Me and Edgar asked Christina if we could take the kids outside so we can play basketball. Christina said it was fine as long as we were responsible and made sure that everyone got back inside. We agreed and took the kids to the basketball court where me and Edgar split the kids into two teams. At first many of  the girls weren't playing they kept complaining but after awhile as they saw how much fun we were having they joined us. The game was pretty intense since everyone wanted to win but at the end my team won which was awesome!

Me and Edgar have decided to keep coming back to this program because we have alot of fun with the kids and we learn alot about them and their culture.
