In our first volunteer place me and Steve Gonzalez and Daniella Ayala went to volunteer at Cabrillo Elemantary School. In our first day we went to the office and asked them if we would volunteer in the school. The guy told us that there was alot of people voluntering already and it was too full. Me and Steve didnt know where else to go because we needed to volunteer somewhere already as soon as possible. Then we saw daniella talking to the principle and the principle told us that we can volunteer the next day at 3:30 in room 28.
We came back the next day and we had to sign in the office before we go and volunteer in room 28. We went to the room and we told the teachers that we came to volunteer. They told us to sign in againg, so we did and one of the teachers told me that i can start of by reeding a book to two kids and help them read a book about bread. I was helping a kid named Oscar and a girl named Maria.
The little kid had trouble reading in English i was helping the little boy oscar read, he had trouble reading in english. The girl Maria had a little bit of trouble too. Then i noticed that the class was a ELD class, it reminded of me when i was in ELD. It was time to leave so we sign out and the kid asked me if i was going to come back againg i told him that i was. i felt good helping the little kids read.
