Define Facebook.
Facebook is a social networking website launched in February 2004 that is operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc., with more than 500 million active users.
Why is Facebook Important?
Facebook is important because it is one of the top social networking sites, quickly gaining on Myspace in terms of total users and traffic. Facebook presents a unique marketing opportunity for businesses through the creation of Facebook Business Pages. As more people explore social media, social networking sites have become some of the key online sources they use to learn more about products, organizations, artists and world events. Marketing on Facebook has a viral effect – information spreads through networks exponentially.
Facebook in my view is an ideology under liberty because it has helped everyone to say what they think about certain things. It has help us communicate easily with our friends and families. It has given us freedom of speech by letting us share our thoughts. I hope people use this for good causes and spread ideas that can help people.

I agree with your last paragraph, but at the same time I think it be a big distraction for some people, and they get sucked into it. Btu other than that I like this!
I agree with your point and I think facebook is a good place to share and express our own ideas and feelings. And it helps us to communicate with our friends easier. I love Facebook!
I agree and understand what you are saying, but Facebook can also cause a lot of troubles. It depends on how you use it. For example, if you get bad grades, it could be a cause of it because you were so into facebook that you just don't want to do homework. Like Madison said, it can be a distraction.
I really agree with you and I am really glad that you pointed out that facebook can be used for so many other good, prosperous things and not only for chating with friends. I also hope that people take good care of this freedom and do good things with it
