I'm Alive to Make This Analysis

"I'm Alive" by Becca (Rebecca Hollcraft) is relevant because the song is placed as an ending song to a cartoon called Black Butler where many kids, teens, and young adults watch. So because it is placed in a cartoon's ending theme song, many people hear it and they automatically know who is singing it and what the song is called. The song came out two years ago, but because the cartoon is so popular, the song is still well known today. The song basically goes with the belief that as long as you're alive, you have the power to do what you want, to make mistakes and not feel bad over them. The song "I'm Alive" by Becca reflects the ideology that no one is perfect because in society, no one is perfect. People make mistakes all the time and they learn to move on from their mistakes. They have a choice to do whatever they want until the day they die.

The words to "I'm Alive" are very straight forward. It conveys the message that as long as we're alive, we have the power to do whatever we want and we shouldn't feel bad over the mistakes we make. Each verse displays an example of mistakes or imperfections, but near the end of the verse, it brings in some positivity and goes off into the chorus. The first verse is showing an example of imperfections. Then the second verse's lines are stating that running away or hiding from your problems won't get you anywhere. Then with the final verse, it's saying to move on from the regrets since you can't change them. It's better to focus on the future. These verses play an important part of the message. Instead of dwelling in the past, people can move on and change the future by what they do in the present. That way, there is no point in feeling bad for yourself for what happened in the past. It already happened, so now its time to move on and get over it.

"I'm Alive" by Becca shows how life isn't perfect and neither are people. The song is telling people to move on and focus on the future for what the actions you do in the present will affect the future, not the past. The lyrics show how life and people cannot be perfect. This song reflects that it's alright to make mistakes, and when you make a mistake, you don't stop there. The music itself also reflects this ideology. The music is upbeat and has a lot of energy to it that whenever people are down or upset over their mistakes, they can listen to the song and it'll bring them back up again. For instance, the chorus says, "I'm ALIVE! I'm ALIVE! Oh yeah, between the good and bad's where you'll find me reaching for heaven, I will fight, I will sleep when I die, I live, my life, I'm ALIVE!" The chorus itself is saying that even when you fall due to a mistake or imperfection, you can get up and aim higher since you're alive. Then another verse says,"Those regrets I can't erase, only I can change the end, of the movie in my head, there's no time for misery, I won't feel sorry for me." This line is saying that you can't change the past due to mistakes you've made, but you can change the future as life is like a movie that you can only be the director. In this case, you don't have to feel sorry for yourself when you make a mistake, you just keep moving forward. Over all, this song reflects over how no one is perfect in life or in society and that it's alright to make mistakes or to have imperfections.

I agree with you and there's really have no one with a perfect life. It's so hard to have everything perfect but people always try to be perfect.
