"Mayberry" by Rascal Flatts is important because it tells how people used to sit down and talk. They would live in small cmmunites where everyone knew everyone. They didnt have to have their iPhones or Droids in their hands 24/7. It seems like in the past they used to spend more time with their families. Rascal Flatts is resisting to be dependent on technology and incouraging family time to socialize with people face to face.
"Mayberry" is a song of what America used to be. The lyrics are about older days when "people pass by and you call them by their first name", when you could explore more go where you wanted to and you just had to tell someone, their was no fear of beign kiddnapped it was just going out to have fun "sometimes i dream of driving down an old dirt road.. not even listed on a map" and when sons and fathers had bonding time "i pass a dad an' a son carryin' a fishin' pole" and that makes me think of the Andy Griffith Show in the beging when him and his son are going to go fish and his son is carrying the fishing pole. The song also shows how time does pass by and it keeps moving on, "Bui I always wake up everytime I try to turn back." You can't change anything in the past but keep moving forward, just don't completely let go of your past.
