Chris Brown Beating Up Rihanna

I’m sure everyone is familiar with the R&B, Pop singer Chris Brown. Most girls are probably infatuated with his voice, and appearance wise yet some look in disgust towards him due to the fact he beat up Rihanna. It was on the Grammy night, but they didn’t show up, the couple was due to sing some songs on stage. It was reported they got into an argument; he stopped his car, and then injured her. In our society it is common to see women as not equal to men, that however needs to change. Women are equal to men, maybe even superior in some categories; you can’t just hurt them when you’re upset. Having Chris Brown, someone everyone idolizes, do something so tragic makes it appear as if it’s okay to hurt someone if you get fustrated. His songs contradict his actions, since his songs is how much he loves a girls, etc.

The song “Aint no Way” is all about how he’ll never let a girl down, and how much he cares for her. Some of the lyrics to this song are, “I don’t really care what they say, when it comes to a difference of age. Never break your heart, never raise my voice. Girl let your guard down. I know it’s a lot to ask to trust me, but I can make a difference right now you’ll see.” This song basically is telling a girl to let him in, and put their trust in him because he is a good guy who will be by your side no matter what. It doesn’t seem very evident in his relationship with Rihanna, since he obviously did not respect her enough to treat her correctly.

Yes, Chris Brown to me is quite attractive and his music is very catchy. He also happens to dress very well, which influences the society on how guys should dress-clean cut. However Chris acting out by leaving Rihanna’s face with bruises is a poor example on his part since males will think “Oh, since Chris Brown can do that to a girl so can I. All girls like Chris Brown.” Which is incorrect, Chris Brown made a serious mistake on doing that, and I’m glad he admits it to the public also. "I've told Rihanna countless times and I'm telling you today, I'm truly, truly sorry that I wasn't able to handle the situation both differently and better," Brown had said in the clip obtained by MTV. It shows he also has changed because in his new song that came out, “Open road I love Her” he sings about how much he loved a girl, but messed up his chance with her so now he’s all alone. This just portrays the fact everyone makes mistakes, as long as you realize it and do a sincere apology its okay. Just don’t make songs that would contradict with your actions, because it’ll confuse society to believe beating girls up is fine. I thoroughly enjoy his new song “Open Road, I Love Her” I feel as if it’s very sincere.

This analysis was very relative and had many good points in your descriptions. The songs by Chris Brown totally contradict his actions towards Rihanna. This was a very entertaining and interesting topic to discuss and analyze about espcially since it deals a lot with our popular culture today!
